After school today I decided to pop down to my local Boots and get a new eye make up remover because I wanted to try the Nivea one out, obviously I couldn't leave there with just one item, the Boots syndrome got me (if you can leave there with just one product I commend you). Anyway I thought I'd share with you what I got because I love seeing what people buy at Boots, so here's a (mini) Boots Haul.
1. Maybelline Colour Tattoo (Pink Gold and Turquoise Forever)- £4.99 each
When I go to Boots I always go the make up aisle first, even if I'm not intending to buy make up, and when I walked past the colour tattoos I just thought 'I could do with a couple more of these'. I don't want to go into to much detail because I am SURE you have heard enough about these. I already have On and On Bronze and love it, so I'm sure these two new additions will come in handy. I got the shades Turquoise Forever and Pink Gold. Pink Gold will be perfect as a base for everyday make up looks and Turquoise Forever when I feel more adventurous.
2. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (Shade 35, Deep)- £5.99
I've needed a concealer for some time now but it's never really been at the top of my list, I just don't really use them (I know, the shock!). I guess the fact that I don't use them that much shows that I actually don't need one, but whatever. I grabbed this to try it out, it's a few shades lighter than my skin tone but will be perfect for brightening certain areas of my face (under eyes, bridge of nose etc.) and the applicator will make this easy to do.
3. Seventeen Instant Glow Shimmer Brick (Gold Bronze)- £4.99
Initially I bought this to use as a highlight, because everyone needs a bit of glow to their skin in winter, but come to think of is this could also double up as an eye shadow for the perfect golden eye look. The size means it would be easy to just chuck into your handbag and wouldn't take up that much space. It's a very affordable and versatile buy!
4. Nivea Double Effect Eye Make Up Remover (what a mouthful)- £1.61, on offer
Just the price should help me justify why I bought this, it was only £1.61, what a bargain. Quite a few skincare products were on offer and I wanted to try something new. I normally take my make up off with my cleanser but when I saw this on offer I thought I'd try it. I have read quite a few reviews on it and hope it will be good!
This item is another one from the Nivea 'Daily Essentials' collection and another one that was on offer that I thought I would try out. I'm not really to picky when it comes to moisturisers but this is for normal and combination skin which (I think) I am which is a plus. I remember going into Boots with someone because they wanted to re-purchase this item (probably Aimee) so it must be pretty good.
6. Royal College Hall School of Make Up Brush Set- £5, on offer
And last but not least is this brush set of four by a brand that I've never heard of lol. It was only £5 and has the cutest packaging! It comes with a blush brush, eyeshadow brush, angle brush and a mini eyeshadow/ big detailer type brush. I could't find the link for it online so I think the last few are probably only available in stores.
Thank you very much for reading if you enjoyed it please follow me on bloglovin! Would you like me to review any of these products in depth?
*_* Lovely haul! Being from the States, I've always wanted to visit the UK and shop at Boots, haha. I've seen so many beauty gurus mention about it on YT! Is it like a pharmacy/drug store? I know Target here sells Boots products, but I'm never sure what to try hehe.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love Maybelline products! The concealer sounds really decent! I love Maybelline's Illegal Length Mascara... my go-to product for sure.
AND YES I need to try the Nivea moisturizer one day! I had no idea Nivea even had those type of products... I think I've only owned a lip balm from them haha. But seriously, all of your purchases sound great! :-) Awesome picks!
You've got such a lovely blog! ^_^ Am now following you on GFC. Hoping we can stay in touch!!
